THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO SUPPORT PEOPLE. I WORK BY PROVIDING A SAFE CONTAINER FOR YOU TO WORK OUT FOR YOURSELF WHAT IS STOPPING YOU FROM SHOWING UP IN THE WORLD AS THE FULLEST EXPRESSION OF YOURSELF.
I ALSO WORK WITH YOU BY DIVING DEEP TO HAVE JUICY CONVERSATIONS, HELD IN A NON-JUDGMENTAL SPACE. I DO THIS BY NOTICING, GUIDING, TEACHING, GIVING DIRECT FEEDBACK AND EMBODYING CURIOSITY.

I BELIEVE EACH OF US IS INHERENTLY ENOUGH AND IT IS OUR HUMBLE WORK TO REMOVE WHATEVER BELIEFS OR EXPERIENCES LED US TO BELIEVE OTHERWISE.
I BELIEVE THE INTERSECTIONS OF OUR LIVES ARE BEAUTIFUL AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR HOW WE CARE FOR OURSELVES (OR NOT). LET’S LOOK AT THOSE TOGETHER, EVEN IF IT’S SCARY.
I BELIEVE WE ARE ALL DOING THE BEST WE CAN WITH WHAT WE HAVE, AND COMMUNITY IS ESSENTIAL IN OUR WELLNESS.
MY CLIENTS ARE THE HEALERS, THE SKEPTICS, THE REBELS, THE MAVERICKS, THE DEEP THINKERS, THE VISIONARIES, AND "BLACK SHEEP". MY CLIENTS ARE THE UNSEEN, UNSUNG, AND DEEP VOICES THAT NEED A PLACE TO FLOURISH. OFTEN, WE ARE SPENDING TIME CURATING A LIFE WHERE THEY CAN LIVE FULLY, WHOLLY THEMSELVES, AND IN A FUN WAY. Cristen has been a close colleague and friend of mine for over a decade now. In knowing her I feel confident in saying she is someone who was born to do this work. It is in her bones. She is present, compassionate, in tune, and aware in a way that is visceral. She maintains professionalism while bringing a raw and quirky realness to her work that is rooted in science and tons of personality. In my career, I have had the benefit of working with a variety of therapists and psychologists who all have their own styles…for better and worse. Cristen has been my role model and teacher at times while also allowing me to be the same for her. I have and will always refer folks to her with 100% confidence. She is a loving human who is continually curious, humble, and seeks to join which are the aspects of the “secret sauce” of a good therapist, in my opinion. It isn’t just psychological knowledge that makes a good therapist…although she has that in spades as well.
